In 2023, Kubota reached out to us for an audit of their website. They faced significant issues with long loading times and slow page responses, impacting user experience and customer satisfaction. We presented them with our expert opinion on the best plan to improve their website’s performance, which they approved and requested us to implement.

The challenge standing before us was to delve deep into the issues plaguing Kubota’s website and find practical solutions to them. Identifying the best course of action was crucial in presenting a comprehensive solution to their situation. We also aimed to uncover hidden problems that, while not directly impacting performance or loading times, could enhance user experience and increase site traffic.

The Process

The Audit

We began our audit by focusing on the most important areas to Kubota. Our initial steps involved conducting tests and analyses to assess the performance of loading times and examining the overall optimization of the site. Additionally, we conducted further assessments to check if the site followed best practices for security, SEO, and overall user experience.

The audit process included both automated tools and manual verification. This approach enabled us to combine quantitative data with qualitative insights, ensuring a thorough understanding of the site’s performance.

Upon completing our audit, we presented Kubota with a report outlining technical findings to enhance user experience. We also provided a prioritized action plan to improve the site’s functionality.

Development

Given our expertise with WooCommerce, we immediately started refining the site’s code to bring it to an optimized state. We removed numerous unnecessary functionalities that Kubota did not need but were burdening the website.

For the same reason, we removed many plugins and replaced them with custom-built solutions. This approach streamlined the website and tailored it more closely to Kubota’s needs.

The key to refreshing Kubota’s website was enhancing its performance and loading times. To achieve this, we underwent a quality assurance process that included rigorous evaluations, such as load testing, user experience assessments, and cross-browser compatibility checks. By meticulously refining every aspect of the website, we aimed to provide a smooth and efficient user experience that reflected Kubota’s high standards and values.

The result was a significantly faster, more reliable website that offered a superior user experience, aligning perfectly with Kubota’s brand reputation for quality and excellence. We also improved their website from a technical point of view and made it easier for their team to change or add new products to their website.

Within the client’s existing infrastructure, we have adopted CI/CD practices (these acronyms you can expand on) to securely implement new changes without downtime, which is important for a constantly selling/operating e-commerce store.

What we have Achieved

Our efforts on Kubota’s website achieved the planned objectives. We optimized the entire site, replacing slow loading times with rapid access to all content. This led to an enhanced customer experience and an influx of new clients. We improved their website’s code structure and optimized its SEO and Security.

On PageSpeed Insights, after implementing our improvements, Kubota’s domain scored 97 points in the performance category, an increase of over 50 points. Additionally, from our work, the score for SEO achieved 93 points, and in the Best Practices category, we got a total of 100 points.
